Research Staff
Linda Alberga, M.S.Linda Alberga is a Senior Research Associate and Project Director for the Detention to Community study (DTC). Linda is responsible for overseeing the daily implementation of study procedures at the Pinellas and Miami site. She has 10 years of experience in project and data management, and has worked in a similar capacity on 4 large clinical studies at the CTRADA and 3 studies with Dr. Malow’s research team. She trains and monitors the assessment team, oversees quality control procedures to ensure accurate collection of data, and oversees the human subjects protocols.
Anders Alexandersson, M.A. and M.S.
Anders Alexandersson is the Research Data Manager of CTRADA since August 2008. Anders received an M.A. in Social and Public Policy from Duquesne University, PA, in 1996 and an M.S. in Managment Information Systems from Mississippi State University, MS, in 1999. He published an article in Stata Journal in 2004. Immediately prior to working wiht CTRADA, Anders worked as a Senior Research Associate for the Center for Family Studies. In the past, CTRADA mostly used Teleform for electronic data capture, and then Excel and SPSS for data cleaning. His primary computing language is Stata. As time permits, Anders does statistical analysis for CTRADA in addition to data management.
Audra Blackburn, B.A.
Audra Blackburn is a Research Associate who has been with CTRADA since July 2006. She is currently the project coordinator for the Juvenile Drug Court (JDC) and Civil Citation Program (CCP) studies. Prior to CTRADA, Audra received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women's Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and worked as an research assistant on a clinical research project for women with postpartum depression. Audra is also a graduate student at the University of Miami earning her M.S.Ed. in Mental Health Counseling.
Maya Boustani, M.S.
Maya Boustani is a Research Associate who has been working with CTRADA since March 2006. Maya moved to the USA from Lebanon in 2001 and graduated from the research-focused psychology graduate program at Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Currently Maya is working on 3 major projects: the Juvenile Drug Court study (JDC), the Dependency Drug Court, “Engaging Moms” study (DDC), and A Girl’s Place planning activities. She oversees the general flow of the research components of the JDC and DDC projects, such as screening and tracking participants and ensuring proper data collection. Maya works closely with both the clinical team and data management team to ensure that all aspects of the studies are up to standards. Furthermore, Maya is actively involved in the planning process of A Girl’s Place by participating in needs assessments, meeting with potential partners, and analyzing preliminary data. Finally, Maya is part of the adherence rating team, conducting adherence ratings of sessions by MDFT research therapists, and MDFT therapists in training sites across the country and the world.
Yvenie Desire
Yvenie is Data Entry Operator who has been with the Center for Treatment Research on Adolescent Drug Abuse since 2002. She is currently working alongside Hua Li and Sumeet Gadgil on several projects (Study 1, Brief, JDC, and DDC). Duties and responsibilities include inputting data into FoxPro, verifying and scanning of Teleforms, keeping a daily log and record of all Study 1 files.
Christopher Tyler, B.S.
Christopher Tyler recently received his bachelor of science degree in psychology and is now in the process of obtaining his master's degree in counseling. He is currently employed as a research associate I working on the hurricane Katrina project in New Orleans.
Rocío Aracelis Ungaro, M.A.
Rocío Ungaro is a Senior Research Associate and Project Coordinator for the Detention to Community study (DTC) in Pinellas county. She received her master's degree in psychology from Boston University. She previously worked at the CTRADA for four years and oversaw the Adolescent Treatment Models (ATM) study. She also oversees another research project in Tampa, A Comparison of Three Reentry Strategies for Drug Abusing Juvenile Offenders.
